Day 1: LISBON
Upon arrival at Lisbon airport, our representative will welcome you then transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy this ancient and lovely city overlooking the Tagus River. Lisbon, a city of contrasts, offering so much to discover and surprise, still maintains the marks of its early history along with a rich cultural mix being one of the most beautiful capitals of Europe. Day 2: LISBON
Buffet Breakfast. Lisbon is one of the most soulful, captivating and picturesque capitals, built on hills with scenic panoramic views from every angle. Lisbon is Europe’s second-oldest capital (after Athens), once home to the world’s greatest explorers like Vasco da Gama, Magellan and Prince Henry the Navigator, becoming the capital of an empire spreading over all continents, from South America to Asia. Today you will discover the city on your own pace with the sightseeing Hop on Hop off tour, time to admire its splendid avenues and monuments like the Tower of Belem and the Jeronimos Monastery, as well as, the Tower of Vasco da Gama and the Castelo S. Jorge. The Bairro Alto is one of the most characterful and attractive neighborhoods in the city. From Bairro Alto, stroll down to the Chiado, an area of iconic cafés including “A Brasileira”, art schools, theatres and of living history. The Carmo area, next to the Chiado, has some of the most fascinating historical sites in the city. Carmo is connected to the Baixa, traditional shopping district by the Santa Justa Elevator, another of Lisbon’s icons. Day 3: LISBON (Option: Day trips to the Surroundings)
Buffet Breakfast. Day free at leisure. Option: Half day to Sintra Cascais & Estoril Coast: Visit the small town of Sintra, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and the Estoril Coast, famous for its beaches and the pretty small towns of Estoril and Cascais. Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 4: LISBON – MADRID
Buffet Breakfast. Transfer to Airport and flight to Madrid (not in-cluded). Option: transfers Hotel/Airport in both cities. Arrival and check-in. Rest of the day free to explore the capital of Spain, a cosmo-politan city with modern infrastructure and an immense cultural and artistic heritage. The city has more than 60 museums covering all human knowledge. The historic centre, also known as the “Madrid de los Austrias” and the spectacular Plaza Mayor square are living examples of the splendour of the city in the 16th and 17th centuries. Overnight in Madrid.
Day 5: MADRID
Buffet Breakfast. Today you will have the opportunity to experience the city on your own pace with the sightseeing Hop on-Hop off tour. You can explore Madrid, the capital of Spain, which has one of the most important historic centres of the great European cities, legacy of centuries of exciting history. Option: supplement for a private pano-ramic visit instead of the sightseeing Hop on Hop off tour. Overnight in Madrid.
Day 6: MADRID (Option: Day trips to the Surroundings)
Buffet Breakfast. Day free at leisure. Option: You can take one of the Day trips to visit: Toledo, known as the Imperial City; Avila, whose historic centre has been awarded the World Heritage designation by the UNESCO; Aranjuez, a Historic – Artistic Site, with its Royal Palaces, and gardens which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO; El Escorial, where you will find a UNESCO World Heritage-designated monastery. Overnight in Madrid.
Day 7: MADRID – BARCELONA
Buffet Breakfast. AVE Train to Barcelona (not included). Option: transfers and AVE train from Madrid to Barcelona. Arrival and free time to explore this wonderful cosmopolitan city, home of the Modernism. Overnight in Barcelona.
Day 8: BARCELONA
Buffet Breakfast. Today you will have the opportunity to experience the city on your own pace with the sightseeing Hop on-Hop off tour. The city’s original site, which was surrounded by walls in the Roman period, is today the Barrio Gótico (Gothic Quarter). Along narrow streets, with small squares and charming corners, you will find civil and religious Gothic constructions, and medieval palaces stan-ding around the impressive cathedral. The Plaça del Rei is a square with an array of nice buildings and in the Plaça de Sant Jaume there are important institutions, such as the Regional Parliament and the City Hall. One of the best places to catch the rhythm of the city is at Las Ramblas which communicates Catalunya Square with the port. Day 9: BARCELONA (Option: Day trips to the Surroundings)
Buffet breakfast. Free day at leisure to keep enjoying this stunning city or relax at one of its beaches. Option: You can take one of the day trips from Barcelona to: Montserrat, where you can see the Sanctuary of the Patron Saint of Catalonia, The Virgin of Montserrat, where you can visit the Basilica and see “La Moreneta”, a XII century Romanesque carving. FD Girona, Figueras and Dalí Museum. Overnight in Barcelona
Day 10: BARCELONA – ORIGIN
Buffet Breakfast Check out at the hotel. Private transfer to Barcelona Airport for your return flight and end of our services.
